ARTHUR ST. CLAIR

General in the continental army. After the war he lived several years in Pottstown and at the time served as President of the Continental Congress, the highest office in our nation at the time.

The founder's son, who stayed a loyalist in the Revolution. All his property was confiscated and he fled to Canada.

Ruth Potts was the wife of John Potts, our founder.She was the granddaughter of Thomas Rutter.
